My dad called it "fag misery". He was a police officer in the Californian metro area, everyone in the precinct kept an eye on the local gay community because they would become what a lot of 4chan posters are. Basically when you believe there is no hope for fitting into society because of some hang-up you've got you become what people today call post-ironic. You turn into this withering miserable yet smug mess of a human who only sees other people as opportunities to ruin shit on purpose. It was buried in the media even at the time but gays would deliberately attend public events for normal people and cause minor vandalism. For a while they tried to get more bold with it, one thing he always mentioned was how a couple of them pushed a mother carrying her kid down the stairs and knocked out several of her teeth. They looked ready to kill her until they realized there were witnesses. When they took the suspects in they were all part of the same local gay community and all had this exact attitude I just described, it's pretty similar to what posters on 4chan do, they try extremely hard to disrupt or ruin everyone else's good time because they are misanthropic and rancid individuals. Sometimes I see what happens on this board and remember those old stories, gays were called "devious" for a reason, it's basically the first step to becoming an evil piece of shit.
