starfield
am i the only one extremely bummed this didn't work out? it was in theory my dream game. a skyrim/fallout in space with nearly unlimited planets and no hub world bullshit. a grounded expanse like setting with some star wars mystic stuff hidden too if you want to find it. all of the great improvements in tech finally put to a real test in an epic grand game. this game has moments where i can see the vision, the awesome score kicks in and great vista will appear before me and it's beautiful, but then just shit writing and dumbass half baked systems fuck the immersion right up and now it's so hated that it will never have another chance.

I too was stoked because there's basically no cool space sim RPG's in existence. Very disappointing.

In a perfect world, no one should want a game to suck, but then fanboys exist so that's thrown out the window.
Though as someone who was a fan of their games since Morrowind, the writing was on the walls the entire time. What the red flag for this one was the announcement of weapon and armor skins as well as a 3 day early access for preordering. Which came off as weird to me cause usually they make a big deal out of their announcement dates and didn't have to dangle preorder bonuses, so something had to be off.
So for short, they fucking knew this game wasn't going to be good and pushed it out the door anyway.
