Not even the first time he has reported fake leaks, he going into damage control mode. Is it really so hard to say. I thought we had a credible source and they feed me nothing but bullshit. We need to vet our sources better. It looks bad but that looks like an honest mistake that anyone in the space could reasonable fall victim to. I was a huge, huge Sonic fan around the time Smash Melee came out so I was beyond ecstatic when the April Fools thing came out. 2 of my friends from out of state claimed they unlocked him in Cruel Melee on their save files and I practically begged them to do it on mine. I was really disappointed when I found out it was fake.

At this point any leak that isn't a physical device, on video, in the hands of somebody who's reputation would be tarnished if they lied is worth less than random noise. That or somebody livestreaming a leaked game, or the leaked files of whatever type can be downloaded, etc. Rumours by themselves are worthless. Ask an LLM to make up a rumour about the specs of the PS6 or the next Nintendo release if you value them.
