I haven't played DCS since they went to the EDGE engine and my decade old laptop couldn't keep up anymore. How is this shit still happening? MFS2024 still sucks, I hate MFS2020, is it FSX or die at this point?

Any stick is better than no stick, get whatever you can get for cheap at first
beyond that you really can't go wrong with VKB or Virpil, the VKB Gladiator in particular is insanely good for the price. Don't waste money on cheap pedals, if you're not willing to drop $350+ on an endgame set then just use the twist axis on your stick (t. just upgraded from TFRPs to R1-Falcons and holy shit what a difference that made)
also VR is kind of a gimmick for flight sims, it's a really cool gimmick but you shouldn't buy a headset just for it. TrackIR/opentrack is much more practical and cheaper

This is legitimately one of the hardest things I have ever done in a video game. Beating Dark Souls 3 at SL1 was easier than doing this pattern correctly
