Why doesn't Japan develop first-person shooters?
They excel in other genres like RPGs, fighters, and platformers, but first-person shooters seem more like an American vidya phenomenon. Why is this?

i fucking hate to say it but phil fish was right, most of the shit games that come out of japan are literally dogshit. rarely is there anything insightful or interesting
