Max Payne 3 is basically what happens when noir gets heatstroke. Dude went from brooding trenchcoat philosopher to a sweaty Brazilian John McClane powered purely by regret and painkillers. Every cutscene felt like it was narrated by someone 20 drinks in and halfway through writing their manifesto. Game's underrated though, tight shooting mechanics and that soundtrack? Chef's kiss.
