The player (Artosis) is a caster for Starcraft I and Starcraft II tournaments, usually paired with another caster (Tasteless) and they cast the big tournaments for those games (ASL and GSL).

In WCG 2005 Tasteless got eliminated and stepped up to cast for the first time which started his career as a caster, and Day[9] won the tournament.

I will always be fascinated by the disconnect between high level video game commentators and players. It seems like commentators somehow always end up with inflated views of their own skill and believe that because they watch high level play regularly that they themselves are capable of the same high level play. They then go online or to tournaments where they get washed and so many times they end up blaming the opposing player for "playing wrong" as though they can't understand why the people in their bronze rank aren't playing like the top 20 players in the world they regularly watch.

Destiny played Starcraft II, not Starcraft I. He was fun to watch but I don't think he ever actually won anything. Day[9] was a progamer in Starcraft I, winning WCG 2005 and WCG Pan-American Championship 2007 and has more achievements.

In Starcraft II yea probably. Day[9] never played in tournaments at that point, only worked as a caster and did his daily videos.
In Starcraft I Day[9] was legit at the time he played (before Idra's and Nony's time) and would have easily beaten Destiny.
