Western = innovation, Asian = iteration.
Western = systems, Asian = mechanics.

Use a dictionary, on God.

It means, "A form, adaption, or version of something." Westoids are original. Japs just copy

Japanese are known to create nothing, but to improve on what's already in front of them. It's been this way for at least 2000 years.

Good systems design is incredibly rare, east or west.

What "western" are you talking about? Because it sure as shit isn't talking about the current year western industry. The only thing they innovate in now is how gay and niggered they can make a game and how much they can alienate straight white men. Just look at the credits for Starfield, it's basically all outsourced pajeets.

why are you comparing indies to AAA? Indies of all around the world innovate, it's why they're indies: they can do whatever they want
the AAA industry hasn't innovated in decades because they found formulas that work and make the most money, what's the point of innovation then? if anything, you posted one of the last innovative games in the AAA side of the industry

He's right. 95% of the time things you associate with japan originated in the west. Like for instance, turn based fantasy games.

Correct, the west invented the first video game (tenis for two, 1958). The west also invented the first console (Magnavox Odyssey, released in 1972)
It also invented the television that you use to play your video game (milestones include Paul Nipkow's mechanical scanning disk in 1884, Philo Farnsworth's electronic television system in 1927, and the first public, regular high-definition television service by the BBC in 1936).
And also invented the Internet. And also invented the mobile phone (Martin Cooper, 1973) or computer (Kenbak-1, designed in 1970 and first sold in 1971) that you are using right now.
