If these games didn't have denuvo, it wouldn't be so bad, cos then one could just pirate the game till the actual game is fixed. But since neither of them had demos (CC is not gameplay demo) and are hiding behind denuvo, and in the case of mafia, had almost zero reviews prior to release... At least stellar blade, which also has denuvo, had a demo-- a demo that was praised for having excellent performance. Gameplay demos should be mandatory; especially in the era of broken releases and the loss of the art of optimization.

Why would I buy a game, a high-budget game for 50 bucks, mind you, where I can't even use the settings that are proper for my PC? I gave the game the benefit of the doubt after looking at the reviews complaining about performance. But if the game doesn't work properly on my PC, I'm not gonna jump through hoops to play it unless it's a game I clammer for. I've got other games to play and other stuff to do. I'm not that desperate for entertainment. I guess I could've tried reintalling, but since the game booted after a PC reset and ONLY after a PC reset and only ONCE, chances are I would just be wasting my time. Haven't been on consoles for many a year. Like I said, this is the second game I've refunded. Other games have for some strange reason worked, and I buy a lot of them every year, from indie, to AA to some AAA. I take for granted that when I pay money for a game, unless its advertised as unfinished, configuring the settings is not going to break it to the point where I can't even reach the company splash screen. No mods, no over-clocking. Just straight into settings broke something within the game that causes it to crash 10 sec within hitting play, and the only remedy is reboot. What if I reinstall and leave the settings as is, and this still happens; what are you gonna say then? What if it doesn't happen but the game run so poorly that it's unplayable/unenjoyable without adjusting the setting, which breaks the game; what then? What if the game crashes again and again during actual gameplay? Should I really need to reboot my PC every time because I dared click on settings? I's not being retarded; it having standards. If you have none, then that's on you. And if the game works flawlessly for you, good, but I doesn't for me. Something in my system might be conflicting with something not directly seen. It might be addressed in a patch, and if it is, I will try again.

You toss around "retard" as if reinstalling or doing a settings reset is the obvious answer to make the game run without hiccups, but if I did so and came back and told you nothing had changed, you would still say the same thing cos I didn't dive through enough hoops to satisfy (you), King of the Anons.
