i bet half the people who watch videos of video games instead of playing games would play them if starting were as easy as loading a youtube video. especially with how buggy everything is these days, doing hours of troubleshooting and fucking with settings when their normalfag slave schedule barely leaves them any time to wipe their own ass.

I only play Gachas and Quake Live nowaddays.
For anything else I just watch them being played.

This is definitely part of it, yeah. Not even having yo turn the console on for every play session was as much of a pain as things are now. The biggest rub for me is thag I can't afford a new console, so I've been running games on my laptop. Everytime I want to play, I have to load up steam, physically connect the pc to the tv, crank the fan up to max, load the game (and only the one game, since they're so fucking gigantic I can only have a handful installed at a time).

Not reeeeally. While I do watch other people play games, I still play games. I just only play games I really want to play. There's now a much higher cut-off for if I want to play a game or not.

Also, it's more of a choice between playing a video game and watching a streamer. Cause I mostly don't care at all what game the streamer is playing.

Honestly, there's some games where I know that my autism would make me take the fun out of the game, so I'd just rather watch a streamer play them.

But for the most part, no. I've spent over 30 hours playing vidya in the past 4 days. If anything, what takes more of my time away from vidya than streamers is 4chan shitposting.
