What's the deal with /v/ and shilling? No other board has this many paid advertisements masquerading as posts (except /pol/, but that's its own can of worms.)

They've been around about as long as 8Bitdo, they just didn't have a foothold for recognition until hall effect came into play.
iirc Xbox licensing has simple criteria, it's just a question of whether or not a company cares to make stripped-down controllers for them. So far it's only Gamesir and 8Bitdo that do out of the modern hall effect chink brands.

Forget whatever the fuck OP is trying to say.

Do any of you fags have problems with xbox/xbone controllers on PC? Mine randomly stops responding until I tab out and back into a game, and recently my framerate in games start fuckin tanking and chugging whenever I'm using one of them until I give up and switch to mouse and keyboard. Doesn't matter if I'm wired or using bluetooth it all still happens

it's only with my xbox controllers and not with my fuckin third party cheap ass PowerA wired switch pad.

Unless you're playing on a sofa far away from the screen then there's no reason to use a wireless controller. Dealing with lag and batteries is gay behavior.

Because unlike other boards, /v/ is ground zero for "consumer enthusiasm." Marketing teams know gamers are terminally online, opinionated, and obsess over hardware minutiae - easy targets for astroturf. Half these "threads" are just seeding brand discourse, steering the conversation, or softening the blow for upcoming price hikes and broken features. You can smell the copy-pasted buzzwords and off-topic praise a mile away.

Honestly the regular Xbox controller feels a lot better including the triggers, face buttons, and dpad. The only thing gamesir has really going for it is the non stick drift.

That being said the joysticks are absolutely terrible and get yellowing with use. Thankfully you can swap them out with the joysticks from your original Xbox controller.

Also the controller is not calibrated out of the box. I found this out after sinking a dozen hours into a game and realizing people were running faster than me when not sprinting. Turns out you need to download an app and my controller was bottoming out at like 60% movement forward.

I think it’s a little better than the stock one, but there’s nothing that great about it.

Bumpers break after six months. You can get a replacement controller at no extra cost, just know that going in.

Swap left stick and dpad around, and make it hall effect, it'd be perfect.
