I’m the support worker guy, the 20 year old guy I work with has near nothing going on up stairs. His life has been watching the madagascar movies, eating, shutting himself if not reminded to go the toilet, and playing the music demos on toy instruments, if taking in public he will hit women/old people on the head, jerk off in front of people if he is bored or sees a girl who is attractive to him, and if not given enough attention or left alone he will start breaking anything close. Completely non-verbal, downs, possibly more issues too but we’ll never know due to the other two headlining issues, the best hope for him is to completely eliminate shitting himself and too stop hitting people in public.
There are a lot of special needs people who are lovely and deserve love from those who are able to support them, but I could not raise someone like my client as my own child, there’s nothing there and what is there is a retard who hits women and tries to jerk off in public. If it were my son he’d been in a home or something years ago, I see how worn down his parents are and hear the lies they tell themselves.
