This is one of those games that's going to die and never come back because the developers decided that even while playing alone, you must always be connected to the internet. It will never be forgivable just for that. Never mind the real money auction house bullshit they pulled on launch. That's a entirely different bugbear to talk about.

It also intentionally retarded drop rates for higher quality gear to divert players to use said auction house. IE the monetization system directly affected base gameplay solely so Blizzard could rake in more money without having to do anything. Then they went ahead and did it again in Diablo Immortal.

I loved it though. it was my comfort food game.
