i bought two 8bitdo ultimate 2C for my switch 2. right stick broke on the first after around 20 hours of mario kart. it started clicking in further and further and then grinding and catching when moved, threw it out

second one is starting to click in further on left stick now

both sticks creak like straining plastic and twining springs when moved

udderly cheap craftsmanship, wont buy again

my original xbox 360 controller plus windows adapter is still my favorite, it has thousands of hours on it from years of dark souls 1 pvp and still works great

we will never see controllers this well made again

but why?
Anonymous No.717557703 [Report]
>>717557343
>but why
numbers have to always go up, if a customer just buys a console with a controller and then never has to replace it thats bad compared to if they start drifting and the customer has to eventually replace it

This but my 360 controller still works.
The One controller was horrible and had worse build quality than both for some reason.
Anonymous No.717558220 [Report]
Are the later 360 controllers with the different sticks and dpad better? Thinking about they silver grey special edition one or the tomb raider controller

The attrition on non-nintendo controllers is brutal, I have a handful of xbox and PS3 controllers that just shat the bed over the years. None of my Nintendo or Genesis controllers have failed.

My 360 controller shit the bed after about 13 years but it was just a simple cable swap and it works completely fine again. Sadly you can only get the cables for them from china so it's best to order a shit ton of them.

>a shit load of dpad slop
>no arcade sticks
That's how you spot retards. The dpad is the ghetto nigger version of the arcade lever. At least that one guy had a racing wheel

Way too many for someone who only plays videogames alone (not even online multiplayer)

Single player is the way to go. Single player on easy mode is even better. Single player on easy mode with bourbon and pizza is god-tier.

Like probably 50 really.

Shit maybe 7. I jeep finding controllers in my mind... The SNES Classic has 2... I actually have 6 Dreamcast controllers somehow wtf I know 1 came with the console and then Jake left his but he didn't want it back where did the other 4...?

It's many.

Troglodyte. This thread is about controllers, not fight sticks. I have an Evo edition Madcatz Fightstick pro with a custom board in it so I can use it on modern systems, and a cheap leverless I got on Amazon. They don't count for this thread.

An entire drawer's worth. 2 PS2 controllers, 2 PS1 controllers, 1 X360 controller, 3 wimotes, 2 classic controllers, 1 nunchuck, 1 ps3 controller... Goddamn! Someone buy these off me,

Oh! A fight stick, a g29 steering wheel (bloody dead with drivers, have to disable Windows' memory integrity for them to function and sequential shifters suck. Don't buy!), and 2 more PS2 controllers. They're just not in the drawer.

1x ps4

Nintendo Switch Pro
Dualsense
Qanba Carbon arcade stick
NeoGeo CD USB controller
An entire box of "Retro Power" USB controllers of NES, SNES, Genesis, and N64 shells that I got because the whole thing was like 10 bucks

That's about it for the multipurpose ones. r.i.p. my Xbox One pad whose D-pad was absolutely mauled after years of service and is now like the T-1000 with ED, used it a bunch on Ultra SF4 but I think I was playing Garou MotW when it finally started biting the dust

I keep finding random controllers. 4 Gamecube controllers, 1 razer kishi (got it used for half), and 1 Logitech G Extreme 3D Pro, even though I play NO flight sims.

1?
I only buy a new when the one I'm using breaks, then throw away the old one.

What the fuck do you need more than one controller for
You only have two hands

Like 6 or so Xbox 360 controllers (young me wasn't very careful with them) and a Wiimote plus Nunchuk I bought for Dolphin.

What's a good X360 controller to get?
Is $40 for a new unopened official X360 controller good?
