Pretty meh. Once you get past the gritty atmosphere, you're left with yet another WWII retelling that isn't very interesting. Gameplay was pretty good but so was every COD's at that time.
Frankly, if it wasn't for Zombies, the game would have been forgotten by now.

Playing the campaign and zombies mode multiplayer was so much fun.
Get home, start a party, invite friends, and just play the game while shooting the shit.

My dream of a franchise would be a series of games that would start right on the French Revolution, and through multiple games it would cover multiple events that eventually lead into WW1 as the climax of the franchise, then WW2, and then the Cold War as the conclusion of the franchise.

But enough of that, let's consume the next battle royale skin for the price of half a game and buy new controllers/keyboards after hammering the crouch and jump button being sweaty boys that win matches on display on twitch

It was pretty aesthetic with how brutal and dark everything was. No real heroism, and the war cries were pretty cool in that one game mode.

Yes, it had the most kino mission intros. The soundtrack is great too just for straying so far from the usual WWII fare

Battlefield 5 has some moments.
I would love a ww2 bf with a genuine campaign that highlights the chaos of the war rather than a bunch of solo operative stealth missions or retard chaos multiplayer.

Peak CoD was definitely Modern Warfare, World at War, Modern Warfare 2, and Black Ops. It was all downhill from there (despite some smattering of good, it was never like it was).
