Going to the gym doesn't do jack shit for depression. Depression comes from knowledge. Once you know something, you can't unknow it.
Say you get in shape and your life improves because people treat you better because now you're prettier. You can't just not know that that's happened. It's depressing to know that happened because that's a depressing way for the world to work.
Also most gym fags are insecure and depressed as fuck.

>It's depressing to know that happened
No, it really isn't. You work hard on your body and people treat you better because of it, it's a basic concept that actually works how it should, nothing depressing about it. Depressing would be if nothing changes.

I was on an anxiety med for 15-20 years as well as prescribed Xanax for 4 or so years. A year or so ago I decided to do everything in my power to get off everything, because I didn't want to spend the rest of my life taking meds and potentially fucking up my brain chemistry more.
Getting off the Xanax wasn't actually that hard, even though people say that's one of the hardest ones. I weened off it and I had a handful of days (separated) that I was bed-ridden and felt like I was extremely ill.
The other anxiety med I'd been taking for like 20 years, that is supposedly not hard to get off, was actually really hard. It's been a year and I still sometimes only get like 2-4 hours sleep a night as I used to rely on it so heavily to get to sleep. I also get strong tension headaches often from stress, which didn't happen when I was on them.
One of the best decisions I ever made, though. When I wake up in the morning I actually feel awake. Lost a bunch of weight simply from not being on the meds. Don't feel sluggish and lethargic any more.
High recommend if you can do it.

>>717560903
>it is a basic concept to treat people better based on how fit or good looking they are
how fucking shallow do have to be to have this as a standard on how to treat people?
If one person used meds to break a bad cycle. And another went through radical lifestyle changes to break a bad cycle.
If they both reach the same end point, why do people act like the former is inferior or somehow worse?

Because anxiety/depression meds have negative side effects and only fix the problem for as long as you're on them. They are easy ways for doctors to not actually have to try and solve your problem, but instead make you just pay for something that hides it and big pharma wants it to be like this so they can profit off your misery.

You're not meant to just chronically chug them for the rest of your life.
You're just meant to use them to break whatever rut you're in.
Or do American doctors really just tell you chug pills forever? Is it because your healthcare is profit driven?

Making the video vertical cuts off a shitload of the sides of the video to make it fit and looks horrible so a lot of editors put in something on top so the video on bottom can get the full thing.
The reason is phonefags. If your video is normal (horizontal) it gets no views. Making it a short/tiktok shape makes it go viral instantly.

>going to the gym does the same
>another thing about meds is to "fix" your brain chemistry
>something the gym also helps with by flooding your system with hormones that make you feel good
>going to the gym also has the added benefit of showing you that you can improve things and gives motivation or some hope that you can fix other things in your life
working out isn't a "this will fix all of your problems" solution, but it is definitely something that should be resorted to before using drugs to alter your brain chemistry and possibly ending up with a bunch of side effects that negatively affect you in other ways.
and if you think meds will fix all of your problems, you are beyond fucked.
