Sega: Sales of new games were steady in Q1 but repeat sales were below expectations

Their plan is to invest 90 billion yen into the Japan studio's major IPS, and 30 billion yen into legacy IPs

Here's an idea: Stop blowing money on Denuvo.

Tencent is gonna buy Sega

You don't get it, their games are successful BECAUSE of Denuvo, so filthy pirates can never get their hands on their masterpiece and cause lost sales.

lmao if Tencent buys SEGA the first thing they’ll do is turn Sonic into a gacha waifu and lock Yakuza behind a battle pass. imagine having to log in daily just to spin a wheel for Kiryu’s drip. also expect Jet Set Radio to be a mobile AR experience where you graffiti real-world POIs for NFTs.

That is not what happens.
What happens is that they pay a shitload of money for something that actively makes people avoid their games.

Lmao, if they continue to pay for Denuvo then it means it's working. They get all the profit and filthy pirates get none of their games.

Hard to say what the impact is really. If you go into Yakuza threads, you'll see most people only discussing cracked games, meanwhile Denuvo games are getting much less engagement. Is that worth a few heavily discounted sales? And they will be heavily discounted because no pirate is going to buy a game on launch

Denuvo works.

We are in yet another SEGA thread talking about their quarterly finances in which they are more wealthy than the previous year, which has been a perpetual event every 3 months since SEGA adopted Denuvo about 6 years ago.
