>enable secure boot by switching from CSM to UEFI for battlefield 6 a few days ago
>computer is now bluescreening, has harddrive issues causing crashes. windows security is unable to start, windows update's setting page shows a blank screen, counter strike 2 keeps crashing due to corrupted files, and after uninstalling it and attempting to reinstall cs2, the download refuses to start
>reset pc and switch back to CSM after seeing a number of posts on the counter strike 2 threads about this issue coincidentally mention that it's caused by the bios, ram, and cpu.
>cs2 now starts downloading again
my computer is roughly 5 years old hardware wise, and I'm seeing all of this bullshit happen all of a sudden after enabling secure boot. I'm not even trolling here, this is absolutely asinine. looks like if I want to play battlefield 6 in the future, I'll need to either get a fresh install (which I don't want to do right now because it's a hassle) or buy a new pc because bf6 runs like shit anyways on this 2070 super.
maybe the doomposters are right, enabling secure boot (enabling UEFI) can fuck up a system.
