Power is mainly acceleration and how well they push out of traffic, though I'm not sure about the latter. I think it also affects their uphill speed. Pretty important for Umas that hand near the back and need to get past the pack, though they can still get boxed either from low wit or just plain shit luck
Guts (right now) reduces how much stamina your trainee drains in that last stretch. Training it isn't so important since the upper threshold for 'good enough' is about 300, and you can reach that easily just by training stamina. Any more and it's a waste, but conversely if you have no guts your trainee will just burn through all their stamina.

Foreign horses did really well in Japan Cup at first. It was held to gather foreign horses and did it job too good that it was dominated by it. Oguri and Tamamo were in the earlier days, when only 2 horses won Japan Cup (Rudolf and Ace). I think it was only until Special Week (around 10 years later) that Japanese horses start to get more wins.

But right now foreign horses just won't sign up in Japan Cup since JRA has a lot of rules for foreign teams, and the schedule has a lot of conflicts with some other international races.

Sweep Tosho is a good statted Speed card that gives you early Charming, the best status in the game. She's like second most important Speed card after Kitasan right now. If you're in the position to overtake the lead, you get both speed and stamina boosted in general. Not in a big surge like Oguri or Rudolph's but way less conditional since it just needs spare stamina like regular skills.
It's really finicky as SR El but it's been consistent with three star el.

Kinda like anime Teio's ult is a way more reliable version since she only has to challenge the lead once instead of at the corner THEN the straight.

She has 750 stam +2 gold recovs (way too much)
She doesn't have to be in 1st place to use it. Usually hits shortly after Maru's Red Shift which makes sense with the skill descriptions

Why do we have so few umas who can do Dirt or Sprint? And there's some overlap there too.
