KF1 is older than most of this board anon, its playable, but its not exactly alive. Id actually like a remaster if only to see an active playerbase again and to see all those maps with modern graphics, I liked the horror set piece aesthetics.

Also KF3 is a live servive game, Im not touching that till at least a year from now. The first new class is free, but the following classes may not be, and if the only new content they are adding is paid for then Im not touching it. This is how you should treat every Killing Floor game. They all release with zero content. Ironically KF3 has more content on release than kf1 and kf2. But it has other problems holding it back.
Give it a year or two. Most people buy KF on sale, so you'll probably save some money as well.

I've been using extinguished slugs, has a lot of stumble, then there's a receiver mod that's +stumble as well. Works great together. But yeah the t1 shotgun and explosive slugs is great, economical as fuck too.

I envy you anon. I have nearly 60 hours and I lost count of how often it crashed. I probably lost like 5 hours of progress at least. Biggest problem was Lumen, once I turned it off crashes went down drastically but they're still not gone completely.
Interestingly I don't even have to play the game, sometimes when I'm idle in stronghold or tabbed out it crashes as well.
Guess I'll turn down graphics settings and see if it does something. Did you do anything there? Maybe turning off super sampling will fix it...
