The people actually in charge of the money on Blizzard saw what a fucking terrible idea leaving China was and groveled back. The chinese work really fast when it comes to copying games, so it was a matter of time before China just made new versions of all blizz games and started making money like that, Marvel Rivals, for example.

Now the chinese version of the games get a shitton of cool content and extra stuff to keep the chinese playerbase happy while the global version keeps eating shit.
