Because the game itself is awful and it shoves microtransactions in your face very aggressively. I tried playing it when it first launched and after three days I was stonewalled hard by the difficulty curve shooting up, got hit with increased marketing aggression and realized I hated the gacha system. I'm not going to keep a game installed just so I can wake up, collect some rewards, progress through five more fights only to get walled again.
This was before they changed shit and made things worse for f2p. Apparently they felt that level of progression was too fast so after about a month they nerfed f2p progress/gacha currency generation.
