I'm an enjoyer of doing pokemon/megaten runs using specific types/races/themes/mythologies/etc which aren't necessarily always the most challenging, but are always enjoyable.
Another thing I've been having with with recently is the FE fates randomiser, which can produce some really busted units with ridiculous skillsets (including enemy only ones like in picrel). The most OP set of units I've had hitherto has been while playing on seed 1488 -- make of that what you will.

I'm generally fine with this but the attempt at beating the warcraft 3 undead campaign without undead really rubbed me the wrong way, the guy doing it decided he was going to say the undead siege engines probably had undead running them, but then eventually got to a part where you had to destroy trees to progress, the logical thing to do here is to say oh well I guess we will just have to say the siege engines aren't crewed by undead
What he did instead was say oh well guess we have to allow ourselves a single ghoul

If you want something as a radical change of pace and strategy for a game, try Postal 2's harder difficulties. The POSTAL difficulty, for example, makes everyone shoot you on sight, you cannot store health items and you can only save once per area. However, because everyone drops ammunition and armor, you're actually a bit incentivized to be as aggressive as possible and shoot any person you see before they can open fire, kinda like in original Postal. Nice and psychotic. You can try speedrunning and pacifist runs as well, as many of the game's tasks can be skipped by just either having enough money or waiting a bit.
The crown jewel of the game's challenge runs, however, is the Ludicrous difficulty. The ruleset is as follows:
> healing items only heal you on picking up with the exception of crack, you can store only one pipe which will heal you for 30 HP but will hurt you for 75 HP later on
> only save once per level with the exception of autosaves and checkpoints
> every rule that allows the NPCs to get dismembered also applies to you, if you eat a machete you'll die instantly
> weapons don't drop from enemies, only a bit of ammo does so you have to find them yourself
> every NPC has access to endgame weapons like mininuke launchers, which will promptly obliterate half the map and you if you don't hide
> NPCs do not run away and will actively run into you if set on fire
With all that included, the game becomes a real test of everything you know about it. Rob a bank on the first day and get the money to buy as much pistol ammo as possible and storm the Al-Qaeda secret base just to get a machete that makes melee kills easier, land faraway rocket launcher hits just to not interact with most of the level, fear open spaces and streets like fire, use gasoline as area denial, learn that weapons actually have their niches you never considered, learn the map and the location of every item by heart because you WILL need all of it. Most ass-shattering 6 hours of my life.

Also the Halo AR doesn't suck, it's just inaccurate. But ammo is abundant on most levels, and dumping 60 rounds at 900rpm deals with any basic enemy. Beating 3 on LASO with just its botched version of the AR would be harder. That 32 round low RoF piece of shit was irredeemable.

Honestly most "starter weapons" that get very abundant ammo aren't really hard to beat a game with, usually. I don't think they're an [Extremely busted item] necessarily, but not a challenge run either.

Ehh, she lives in a fish tank with some ceramic tiles in it and heat lamps on both halves. It would be better if the tiles were replaced with proper dirt and shit, but I take her outside every so often, so it's fine.

Probably the hardest part for me was trying to find a local vet for her, since it's uncommon for them to know anything about lizards, so when my critter got her tail tip fucked up by a thing falling on it, I had to travel out like fifteen miles miles to doctor that could treat her properly. Thankfully she was fine and the broken tip just fell off so she didn't need surgery or anything.

I came up with an autistic challenge for Megaman X4 I call the Nova Strike challenge.
>enter ultimate armor cheat, get the armor, then die until you go back to stage select so you can start the challenge

Genuinely kinda fun as it makes the stages and the order they need to be played in feel like puzzles to figure out, and while all the bosses are cakewalks, the final sigma fight is actually brutal and requires both sub tanks to be filled and perfect gameplay from you in order to beat him since you will trade hits on every nova strike on the ground sigma and its tricky to land a hit on the gun sigma without getting hit yourself.
