Some animations were neat. Flicking blood of swords, spinning the sword before sheathing it, doing little flops when jumping. But yeah, it's crazy how much worse the game is overall. They made it so mountains are unclimbable so you have to use roads only to navigate, which shrinks the open world down to a network of tiny paths.
