I didn't really take issue with the 10 hour campaign until I found out that there is NOTHING to do in the free ride after the game is over. Mafia games already had a pretty sparse open world portion, but you could fuck around and shoot cops, ride the trains, and collect cars like in GTA. The games have been regressing with each entry after Mafia 2.

I stand corrected. Original Mafia is the one I played the most. I didn't like Mafia 2 as much, but I did remember it having a decent open world with being able to rob stores and change your vehicles appearance to avoid the police.
