CIvilization is solved. it peaked at IV there is no point in continuing.

Could be worse.
No idea why Paradox would dip their toes into 4X when they have a monopoly on their flavor of map painter genre.

I hate remasters.
But I really would love a remaster of Civ IV. Specially a 64-bit executable, and re-engineer it to actually use multiple threads, rather than shove everything that isn't playing audio into the main thread.
Bundle some graphics mods or whatever to make graphicsfags happy, I don't care.
That and its mods would then be the ultimate Civ experience, and no other Civ game would ever be necessary.

You absolutely can do remasters right, Age of Mythology got a great one.

Real bullshit the state which they launched CS:II back in 2023.
Only recently they've made it actually enjoyable with the economy not breaking and subsequently giving you millions upon millions of money.

Maybe because their new map painters after hoi4 are flopping as well?
The only one remotely successful is ck3, sorely thanks to coomer roleplay

CK3 is trash compared to CK2 with terrible menus upon menus DLCs but it was moderately successful.
Vicky 3 is an abomination.
I am not a nazi, furry, or trans, so I don't care for HOI4, but it's popular because the above demographics and their permutations are numerous.
Stellaris is... weird. They keep reworking the game every few years, stacking multiple shovelware DLC annually that don't interface with each other and act like disparate mods, and which you need to know what to keep and what to disable. It's good though, and gets console money.

EU5 will either make or break them and with them keeping their obsession with shitty Playmobil 3D character models, I lean towards breaking.

Oh yeah stellaris is doing well enough, thanks to the draught of grand strategy space game no doubt
You forgot about that rome game they tried to erase now

Imperator could have been decent if it had more missions, and launched with the reworked manaless system.
Compared to all their games it absolutely nailed the feeling of bringing civilization to your lands, turning your tribe into settled people, roads, aqueducts, cities, culture, switching to atlas mode and seeing your metropolises and temples and busy ports and marveling at your creation. "Development" in CK and EU don't hit that high, industrialization in Vicky 2 sort of does but you can't visually feel it.

It also had the most beautiful map to date. EU5's map looks horrible in comparison.

I dunno why those faggots thought changing the very base gameplay of CiV was gonna be popular. What a bunch of idiots.

Everyone is playing Civ 7 on EGS and Cities Skylines 2 on Game Pass. Steam is for retarded boomers.

>game with bunch of dlc and patches to optimize and balance the game.
>sequel with little to no dlc, less patches and unbalanced

Eu doest have much state simulation and pretty much a pure map painter, you watched your border go big you came
Ck is more of a role playing dynasty management sim, so you watched you family tree go big you came

They don't want you playing the old better game, you need to move on to the next worst one.
