Why would you buy a steamdeck?

I wouldn't buy one.
I already have one so buying another seems pointless

I don't play handhelds, but if I had to guess the Steam Deck probably has 10 times more games and sales.

Because the Steamdeck won't fucking spontaneously break like the Switchgender 2 which is made out of suicidium.

More games to play, including some Switch 1 games via emulation. Switch 2's library is just Switch 1 games and what, 2 games?
Anonymous No.717593029
Steam Deck:
>upgradable storage
>access to a massive amount of games for cheap
>no lock in
>emudeck

Switch 2:
>no upgrade path
>extremely locked down
>subscription requirement for anything
>2 whole games
>1080p resolution that no game will ever use because DLSS is basically a requirement

Not even a comparison

i have switch 2 to play nintendo games and steam deck to play ntr h-games on the go.

The real rival of the Deck is laptops.
I have a laptop with a GTX1650 or something like that, and 100% of the time I needed my games but wasn't at home, that laptop met my needs. With a trackball, I can even play strategy games, management games, city builders, etc., things that are really bad on a joystick.
If laptops didn't exist, I would completely understand the need for a Steam Deck, but since there are already several portable options, I think it's more of a luxury toy for people who like cool and sophisticated things than something really necessary for video game players.

1280x800? What fucking tard aspect ratio is that. No game is gonna display at native res on that screen, and any 720p content is gonna look like complete shit

The main advantage of the Deck is being able to install whatever software you want without doing a stupid and pointless jailbreak humiliation ritual in order to uncuck your hardware that you should rightfully own. Can't say the same for the Shitch- sorry, I mean the Switch 2.
>but any laptop/umpc/phone can do that
But the Steam Deck does it best because it is LITERALLY designed for playing PC games thanks to the trackpads, back buttons, capacitive joysticks and Steam Input. Wanna know why? Because the left trackpad can be used for hotkeys, the back buttons are also used for hotkeys, the capacitive joysticks can be used for gyro activation, and Steam Input makes it piss easy to set it all up. Meanwhile the rest of the competition is still trapped in Microsoft's xInput dogshit.
>boasting about a 1080p screen when cyberpunk runs at 360p

BTW, how's Virtual Console going for you tendies? Oh wait, you have to pirate VC games since Big N realised NSO was more profitable LMAOOOOOOOO

Pick only one. No one likes driving on intermission tracks.
