Inb4 muh bf2042 maps were massive and boring as fuck. Yes, but i'm talkin bf2 / bf3 / bf1 types of larger maps that gave that bf feeling. BF6 maps feel like some cheap f2p cod wannabe. Sometimes you literally spawn next to the enemies if they push your team enough because it's so small.

Apparently a new map will be introduced when the open beta goes live tomorrow and that map will be larger with air vehicles. I don't like small maps either, I don't even like the fact that the game ships with 9 maps and even one of those is wasted on being small infantry focused. I'm hoping whatever map people are playing on right now is the Metro/Locker of BF6 and not indicative of the rest of the maps.

But even beyond that my biggest issue is they lack variety. Its really noticable on Rush where you fight over 3 sets of capzones that are nearly identical to eachother.
There's very little change when moving from one area to another.
The conquest versions of the maps are effectively identical to the Rush versions.

Ok, I played a bit, here is my rant:
Maps are really small. I am not a revisionist who's gonna say that 2042 had good maps, but 2042 maps at least felt like the battlefield maps and not like a CoD arena with chokepoints to camp.
I hate the UI. It is so littered with needless info, for example when you got killed, you see the limbs damage and the exact amount of damage each shoot dealt and who shot you. Why do I need this anyway? There is no limb healing system or damaged limbs effects in the game.
I hate the animated UI score popup in the top middle of the screen, when you capture the points in the breakthrough. It feels like I am playing Overwatch.
The points have visible borders that change color depending on who is holding the point. Another unnecessary arcade game effect that breaks my immersion.
Grenades, that shine bright red in your eyes. Who the hell thought it was a good idea?
I am not even gonna talk about the lens flare.

I'm the same. Got around 200 hours on Delta Force, and I'm already bored of BF6 after a few games. I had a few "good" games with a good squad, but most of the time it was just mindless rush and kill, with enemies spawning from everywhere. The maps are trash, but the real problem is how bad the gunplay is. It is unplayable on controller and PC definitely isn't an option due to secure boot cancer. Movement speed, recoil bloom and spread, and damage drop-off result in the worst feeling first person shooter I have ever played. This is all the issues Battlefield 1's jank ass gunplay had x100000. This game is both a bad Battlefield and a bad fps.

It's a step in the right direction but the maps in the beta suck ass.
The starting guns are the best guns.
Vehicles suck royal ass.
Breakthrough is awful with these maps, attackers almost never win.
Hitscan/whatever constantly is desync'd, you can get shot behind walls/cover constantly.
Kernel level anti-cheat that hasn't stopped hackers at all.

I can't hit anything with almost any of the weapons. Meanwhile I was playing BF1 and BF5 all last week and easily dropping 40-50 kills most matches. The gunplay in 6 is genuinely fucking dogshit. The mistakes made with 2042 nearly killed all that especially during launch when all but two guns were broken and everything you did had some sort of shit keeping your inputs from being accurate. Now everything is even smoother than before.
The scale of Battlefield is what sets it apart from others. Also the casualized gameplay that keeps it from being a sim, and with all the components of an all out war scenario. But if you really think about it, most of the players are boots on the ground. If you highlight that with condense maps and slightly orient movement more towards COD movement, you have a recipe for massive success with normandies, unless launch somehow regresses further like it did with 2042 beta -> 2042 launch.

One issue I'm running into is it feels like there's a weird netcode thing where you will shoot someone, already being shooting them, but suddenly even if they're using the exact same gun it's as if their fire rate just increased way faster. I'll get downed with 5 body shots even though I've already landed my third shot before they even started shooting on my screen. Like strangely the netcode has felt fine for once in BF I've been killed when clearly around corners a couple times but it's not nearly as egregious as previous entries so far.

The attachments make quite the difference.
The 7.62 AR (forgot the name) kicks quite a bit but once you slap one of the better grips and barrel attachments it becomes a laser beam.

A gun that has really low recoil even barebones is the second LMG (forgot the name again), even with no attachments with the ACOG optic I was getting easy headshots and even being a complete nuisance to snipers that weren't very far away.

If you bipod up with LMG or set up near waist/chest high cover and corners (yo u an do this with most weapons) you recoil gets reduced by like 50%

The jets control fucking horribly in this game. I haven't been able to use them well in previous games either (even though I play a ton of sims kek), but they are noticeably way worse in this one. And that mountain map is so small that you basically can't even turn around fast enough to not crash into the mountain walls outside the map. I don't know why they even kept them in at this point.

Basically every gun should be moved down by 1 shot to kill. You just evaporate instantly right now. Also I feel like somethings fucky with the audio, I get blasted by people right behind me that I never heard regualrly.

People keep saying the game is run and gun CoD like, but doing that hasn't been remotely as effective as it was in 2042 for me. I could just pick squirrelgirl with an extended mag SMG and easily flank while outgunning people with zoomerslide hipfiring. Meanwhile trying to go for any aggressive plays in BF6 mostly leads to you dying after one or two kills, but if you just cover some street near a point there will be a constant stream of retards running into your sights.

People only say it's CoDlike because they see the weapon holding animations and reload animations and it reminds them of MW2019, which it kinda does. But the actual gameplay is the same type of cancer as Metro 24/7 from BF3, only this time the shotgun and M4 are too op.

I'm gonna be playing it today so after doing so i will give my final thoughts on it, as a BF4 player that is. Many people who knock the game aren't looking at it from that perspective. It's easy shooting at a still target that's broader than the character models. Plus all the guns to me feel terrible to shoot, with the worst offenders being the dmrs. That said, the svk is conceptually similar to the zh-29 from battlefield v, but with the harsher visual recoil, the uncontrollable sway of the scope and that Weir visual effects you have on magnifying optics makes it barely usable. The only saving grace of this gun is the infinite 2 shots to kill range. You can't use this gun aggressively in cqc at all in this game with how the movement works in this game even if you tried. You have to play like a worm to truly do well with this gun: keeping your body always behind cover, picking unaware people off at range. This game truly doesn't feel like a battlefield title. It's like they specifically wanted to steal cod's playerbase
