It's funny because Riichi Mahjong feels like an objectively superior version of Poker, but after thinking hard about it I feel like Poker is the better game.

Mahjong is way too complex for its own good, to the point that it is basically unplayable as a board games unless you dedicate way too much time. I have played Mahjong online for years and I still have no idea how to host a mahjong match IRL or even how to calculate the score of each hand.

It is only natural that it is not a popular game among normalfags
