What would it have taken to make Hatred (2015) good?
There are surprising few games which even attempt to fill the niche of "misanthropic mass-murder fantasy" simulators, even fewer that succeed commercially or artistically. For what the game was, Hatred still punches above its weight in terms of cultural relevance; people still remember Not Important, the intro monologue is still the default mental image people that many people gravitate towards when envisioning the scenario of an "incel chud losing it and taking their emotions out on society". How many people today would remember Hatred if it hadn't ended up as the target of a half-baked moral panic campaign?
Please don't make some vague allusions towards it needing more goodgamedesign/weaponsandboxcrunchiness/lessmicrotransactions or whatever the fuck...

Make it anti-ZOG rather than pro-ZOG, but that's impossible given how it was made by glowies.

It was made by Poles, not glowniggers involved in an agree-and-amplify op; Polish games are really vulgar and tactless in their messaging, but they really can't be mistaken for glowshit (I'm interested in seeing examples of actual intelligence agency entrapment op games, if they actually exist). I doubt that the plot and ultimate motivations of the protagonist were of much interest both to the developers and the people who bought this game. Young White men going on killing sprees isn't in ZOG's interests, but if you believe that the game wasn't sincere enough in it's execution of this premise, I would have to agree.

It released perfectly for its time because it was made during the incel school shooting sprees we were seeing all throughout 2013 and 2014, and it made normos even more receptive and reactive to it. It was the game that needed to exist in that moment of time so people who wanted an unregulated industry could champion behind it.

It served its purpose. I mean, I don't know what else you can add to make the game good. It was very short, it was level-based with a point-racking system, and the ending was goofy, destroying the serious veneer they were trying to portray with the trailer.

Maybe you're right, I just feel that this game could've been more than a sacrificial lamb for the culture war zeitgeist (the original Postal fits that description quite well too, come to think about it) had it had a firmer conceptual grounding, aesthetic direction... anything. I mean, stupider and even less inspired games which were wrapped up in moronic fotm culture war spark-ups managed to retain more relevance than Hatred did *ahem* Stellar Blade *ahem*

My name is very important but not as important as what im going to do. I just love this blessing world, and lovely humans are smiling at its beauty. My whole life is just warm, sweet love. And i always wanted to live joyfully. This is the time of affection, and every life is worth enjoying, and i will spread happiness as much as i can. It's time for me to smile, and it's time for me to laugh. My kindness and lovely path begins here.

>people still remember
You mean /v/irgins, yes. None of the normies who plays vidya remember that shit.
It's a mediocre twin stick shooter that only got somewhat popular because of the controversy (which seems to be this company's way of getting sales)
