Battlefield 6 is the proof that CS2 has the best FPS formula. Spread + recoil FTW
I'm trying to play that shit game and I keep being killed by people that are hundreds of meters away. This is what happens when you don't have spread and a decent recoil: shitters can just hold LMB and snipe people with laser accuracy even if they are using assault rifles. The only thing that limits this is damage nerfs over distance, which is not good enough for the small maps that are in this open beta.

battlefield historically had spread and recoil, with a retarded system implemented for bfv but let's just forget that abomination
you have to consider that
>it's a beta, with many things expected for release
>consoles/controller players on pc get even lower recoil
they focused the test on infantry gameplay because that's what most people will be met with when the jump in the game for the first time, there's room for improvement but guns are not as beamy as they were in 2042 at launch where 100-150 meter kills from an AR weren't that unusual (they motivated it with maps being huge but it's mostly cope)

Wait what do they also get autoaim?

so they can kill you easier anon
it's obviously harder to control recoil on the sticks, there have been tests and at least in 2042 it's like 20 to 30% less recoil
actually auto-aim (as in if you go ADS near the enemy it kinda snaps in the middle of the target) is not the issue with aim assit, they also get aim-slow down (less sensitivity) if you aim over the head but even that is totally fine as well as lower recoil
the by far biggest issue and buff that aim assist provides is the so called rotational aim assits that kicks in the when the player is not stationary, this is the mechanism that allows controler players to track all your movements and no matter how good you are you will never outmatch a computer when it comes to reaction

I don't think most people even realize this
