They can't just find a style of wall lighting nobody else has, or better yet make something wholly original. No, they HAVE to buy the same Slot-Together bullshit that lets them make the exact same fucking geometric patterns as everyone else.
They can't choose their own colour scheme, made out of their favourite colours. No, they HAVE to buy everything all in white to show off the same RGB lighting patterns. If it's not rainbow it's almost always blue and magenta.
Do they have anything interesting on the furniture front at the very least? No, they HAVE to have the same IKEA furniture. God forbid they ever did any shopping at a local store so they could at least have some regional identity.
Every single one of these gaming rooms just looks like a branch of the same shitty games company.
But the saddest thing to me is all the shit on their shelves that as soon as it was put into its spot was promptly forgotten about.
None of that shit individually matters to them, it's just the collection as a whole. And not so they can enjoy their collection, but so that all the people on reddit can enjoy it.
