MH Wilds is such a waste of potential.
The game has such interesting vistas and setpieces but the textures and the overall image just always seem to look so blurry and low quality.
Granted my rig is pretty shit too but I also haven't seen gameplay footage that makes it look drop dead gorgeous either.

It's fun, but it has a lot more open world exploring than you're led to believe. The main character is bit annoying in that "MCU quip" way, but not enough to ruin it or make you not want to see the story through to the end. Catchy soundtrack though (the upgrade music still pops up in my head, even now).
I say it's a solid 7.5/10. I played it, enjoyed my 20-30 hours in the world, but really don't have a desire to replay it, if that makes sense. Excited for the sequel though.

I think the atmosphere of eternal became a bit too unfocused and clean/toy-like for my liking. I feel like Doom's art style is at it's best when it's trying to sp00k you but you're still powering through it and being a badass. Makes the lore of the demons fearing doomguy actually feel earned. Exactly, pretty much took the words right out of my mouth. I hope in 6 they put more focus into the countryside and rural areas. I've got done with Far cry 5 like a week ago, and even though it definitely has its problems, I think it has one of the best representations of the American backwoods and rural locales I've seen in a game (sometimes even better than rdr2). Closest thing to a sort of "rural gta" that I've played (rdr2 doesn't really count, has to be modern times but in rural communities and environments)

I wish I was better at taking screenshots, specifically action ones, but it just the antithesis of videogames to be mid gameplay and pausing to go into photomode for an action shot

been playing through postal 2 again, never did enhanced mode before so it's been neat to just mess around with

To be fair graven looks nice but the level design and combat is awful. Plus it released so buggy it was entirely possible to softlock before the final boss making the game unwinnable.

The levels being massive doesn't help when there is no map and the labyrinth design with relatively poor landmarks for signposting make it a chore to navigate (particularly in the last world as most of it is just samey looking sandy streets) especially as extensive backtracking is required. It suffers from the same problems that phantom fury does - excellent art direction marred by crappy gameplay.
