I thought it was really fun, but short game. Heard that it's horrible to 100%, but almost never shoot for that goal so that probably helped with my opinion on it.

106% is a miserable experience
Because of that there is no reason to go for any collectable since they have no real worth outside of that, making the normal game largely boring until you get to the last set of levels

>spoiler
That sums up the financial result of the game.

You guys think women will ever be self aware that society went to shit at the exact moment they decided to start dressing like a neon freakshow with piano wire coming out of every hole in their skin?

The main problem with Crash 4 sales-wise is that its catering to a crowd of millennials that didn't really care about a new game getting released and cared about the games they grew up with getting remastered like N. Sane Trilogy and Team Racing. THAT BEING SAID IM STILL FUCKING PISSED THAT TEAM RACING ISN'T ON STEAM

90's kids (the ones that were kids growing up in the 90s, not born in the 90s) are millennials. Crash was in his hayday in the 90s

Tawna was irreversibly ruined, they could have reinvented her character in a way that didn't completely suck. And the sneaky-ass single hidden crates you had to backtrack off-camera to find were just a horrible level design choice. The game had nice visuals and felt okay, not great to play but decent, which only makes their weird decisions even worse. Crash 2 still reigns supreme and I wish they had taken a bit more inspiration from it.

Also, characters should never be allowed to speak at all during gameplay. Tawna yelling "kawaiiii!" at absolutely nothing still fills me with pure vitriol.

I only played it for around 2-3 hours and had no further interest to keep playing. It wasn't bad really...I just didn't get around to playing it until 2023 and was more interested in playing Darktide with friends at the time. Honestly not sure I'd even care to go back and play 1 or 2 again much either. Also sex with bandicoot women.

No I mean how was it catering to millennials?
Or do you mean it was selling something only millennials know about but didn't want?
