on a platform on the floor so I get the best of both worlds, it's not in my face and it's not sucking up all the filth my feet track in

raised shelf below the desk, neither touching the floor directly or in danger of getting knocked off
it's the only choice that isn't pants-on-head retarded

Put your computer wherever it makes sense for your setup. Who cares.

Depends on available space? I literally don't have space on my desk for a pc and I don't have space for bigger desk. Under it goes.
Anonymous No.717633506
It doesn't matter as long as you regularly clean and dust your house. Otherwise, it's best to keep it off the floor if you are a lazy fuck.

i built my desk and then built a little shelf for the PC so it's below the desk but not directly on the floor.

>Get rainbow vomit ram since they where cheaper
>Figure I can just turn off the lights
>Controlling rgb is a shitshow and every program eats more resources than Chrome
How is it this common, yet this terrible.
Also, why the fuck is every god damn case with glass panels now?

When I built my PC, I had to pay more for a no frills plain black case. Why the fuck is this the way it is now? I hate that LCD bullshit. It's so garish and ugly.

I have a cord length issue. Has to go on the desk unless I rearrange my furniture.

rgb used to be something you paid extra for. Now I got some white rgb ram for less than the normal boring version.

did you try openrgb? i ran in to the same issue where the cheapest gpu at the time i bought it was a variant with rainbow led and the software to control it didn't even run any more, but openrgb worked fine and could control all the shit i have np
Anonymous No.717634172

Just use openRGB

I dont trust myself with having the pc on the floor, i am 100% sure i would end up accidentally kicking it all the time or spill something on it

I have a very sturdy wooden desk, it fits just fine

Tried it. But it only had the option of every single light turned off. I couldn't get it to only affect ram.

I rather have the desk space. Plus, I don't have to see the rgbs on the rams

i don't know your setup but it sounds to me like you just didn't understand the simple gui then, because it lists every individual device separately and it has a slew of options for individualized control, i still leave my keyboard backlit with a simple dull light while having everything else off

What I don't get is why every single peripherial has to have specific software to control basic functions these days. Just plug in and let me work, why do I need specific software wasting resources for my keyboard, mouse and monitor?

Not much to get with the 3 buttons it has. I could select ram, but from there the only option was a "apply to all devices". No option at all to only affect the selected device.

you don't have to hit that button bro, individual device control applies instantly
it can be kind of weird how some devices work but for my gpu for example i run entire zone, direct and color is rgb0

I should try OpenRGB again, the UI was indeed confusing but Mystic Light is annoying to use and SignalRGB uses way too much RAM while on the background.

Why would you ever waste desk space for your PC unless it's a SFF/Mini ITX case? Just get pic related and be done with it. Get yourself a standing desk too for posture.
