If you're using a PC so old that SecureBoot is completely unknown or unavailable to you, you probably don't meet minimum system requirements anyway.

If you do have a PC for it, well then you're a PC user which means you SHOULD have the computer skillset to tinker for 3 minutes. If you don't then stick to consoles, they're good if you just want to plug and play.

SecureBoot is available on my system. I don't use it and don't want to use it. There are no legitimate use cases for it. It does not improve security, and imposes unnecessary restrictions on my use of my own hardware. Certainly no video game needs it. This game *wants* it, but it cannot have it, at least on my system. In the trash it goes.

It depends.
If it's just literally for games and there is NOTHING else, at all, then do it
Otherwise, don't do it.

Essentially what it will do is fuck up the drive itself if other drives need to speak to it
So like, say you have two drives. And the non-GPT one has some sort of data, anything on it, even a launcher or a mod that another program needs, you're shit out of luck

Basically, if you're okay with deleting all your stuff on it now (to the recycle bin), then testing the shit out of everything and it all works, go ahead and obey daddy and convert it to MS's desired platform to be read from

Just install Windows 11, it's that easy.

Also Secure Boot (+TPM) is the new thing games will implement going forward because it will tie your account to your hardware, so if they ban you for cheating, your entire CPU also gets banned and you will need to buy a new PC. It's the same thing Sony has been doing for decades where they ban your console if you cheat, but on PC is just for that one game.

That's... not happening, by a fucking longshot

Your hardware ID is unique but like, you do realize how easy it is to change your hardware ID, right?
You can fuck around by changing your fucking mac address on a basic black bitch device like a dock and get a new hardware ID

This isn't your typical mac address shit, it's being enforced by the TPM hardware key which talks to the CPU. The only thing that can talk to the TPM is the secure boot, that's why they are pushing this. Cheaters are going to get their entire PCs banned.

You're not familliar with this level of stuff, I see.
The entire hardware ID is down to a unique address tied to your Windows account BUT...

that's the goal,
You can EASILY fucking bypass this shit with a local account
MS want complete control over your data, hence the idea of secureboot and it will push to a MS account online soon as it has been for a few years with Win 11 launching

Realistically you'd just use a modified ISO to avoid all this, including the pre-boot bios check

Don't touch your SSD
What you can do for a simple check is the following:
Copy all your non OS SSD drive shit to a folder on the HDD in a new folder on the HDD
Then erase that SSD. Don't wipe/convert/format/whatever, just delete it all through ctrl+a to highlight it all

Then run every single fucking program that was on it. Anything that doesn't work, take note. then you can compare what you need/what you don't have

No, they don't
What happens is MS wants to be able to fucking check every little driver you have. It's why it was made

It's why the fucking concept of open source is used to day
Is Windows the basic black bitch of OS? Yes and I love it
Is MS wanting to fucking rape anything it doesn't like? Yes

It's not needed and never was. It's there to make sure 'non approved singings are not a thing'

>Secure boot? WTF is this shit?
DRM, anon. secure boot has zero upsides for the consumer. it stops any bootloaders not whitelisted by corpos from booting
the TPM for its part is a DRM chip that betrays you and rats you out to corpos (stores inaccessible keys, lets programs isolate their memory so you can't snoop around, signs messages notifying the mothership that you aren't modding anything, etc.)
and last but not least, you take a substantial hit to performance for using a TPM

secure boot has one use case (setting your own keys and signing your shit yourself to stop others from booting anything YOU don't like). needless to say, the corpo kikes will demand keys they control to let their garbage run, so you're more or less correct that secure boot is useless to the goycattle
