The screen is touch-sensitive. I have the first version of the Z1 Extreme. You can switch between desktop mode and controller mode.

Since the ROG is Windows based I found it much easier to pirate games as well as to play games I directly downloaded from other websites. For example I got Saya no Uta off JASTUSA legally (I like the game so I dont mind paying for it) and it would not run on my Deck but runs fine on my ROG.

Oh and just to add, I had very few problems with piracy overall on the Deck, but even fewer problems with the ROG so either are good purchases

If you want to play games on it that require a mouse, you're gonna have a bad time.

>but the steamdeck has track pads.
They turn a horrible experience into a terrible one.

The only time the track pads have actually been useful to me were for the Fatal Frame 4/5 remasters

Why is Valve STILL, YEARS LATER the ONLY ONE to understand the value of trackpads, I swear to christ, why is Microsoft so retarded

Microsoft is slapping Xbox onto it, I'm sure they have some say
Even so, regardless of who makes it, the question is still why

I have the ROG Ally X and it doesn't have trackpads, its an ASUS decision. Its the wrong decision, but its not a Microsoft decision

The shell would need a major redesign to accommodate the speaker position change. Something they obviously won't consider until they actually make the Ally 2 or something.
