Pokemon Red. Squirtle starter. I felt like Charmander was by far the most popular option and as such gay and boring. Bulbasaur looked goofy as fuck and only nerds picked it, so I went with based Squirtle.

Blue on NO$GBC back on my parent's old Win 3.1computer. I was a silly kid and got to the elite 4 with nothing but my Venusaur (all grass moves, of course), all three legendary birds, and two HM slaves, and could never beat the champion.

When I got Pokemon Yellow later on, I was significantly less silly and actually managed to beat it pretty easily.
