Well thank fuck. It was a novel challenge at first but it's so miserable because elites 2 tap you unless you're using really tanky characters like Gley or Serena. Bunny is my main and it hurts not being able to use her there. I get that they were listening to complaints about people wanting the game to focus more on shooting but so they made a corridor shooter but the enemies having aimbot aim and immense damage was just cancer.

Is bunny still the best character? I remember farming for freya but it took too long so I quit.

The legion of Vulgus that creating more of them themselves by experimentation and mutation are the only one's cartoonish evil, because they follow some kind of religion that requires grief or some shit. The fully meched out Vulgus that clone themselves and give everything up to the machine are just advancement retards. They're willing to even erase their own personalities if it means being able to download the persona of a superior unit and essentially being their clone.

I think the gameplay in TFD is fun. And regardless, Warframe also isn't perfectly balanced, not even close to it, but the melee combat doesn't suck.

I think they've done a pretty good job of balancing abilities and guns so far, they just need to try and balance melee into it as well. I think it's definitely is achievable.

It depends on the character. Roughly.... you unlock the characters by playing the game. And that's not a snarky remark. There's missions you have to do, there's bosses you have to kill, sometimes a combination of the two. I do not recommend paying for any characters. Just pay for skins/color patterns if you're inclined to throw some cash away.

But yeah, you basically collect the "parts" of a character (their schematics/blueprints) through various activities and then you build them.

You grind for parts (3 for a Descendant, and 1 Code to fully craft, or research as it's called, them) and some minor materials. Then you research each part for like 8-16 hours, then once you have your 3 parts and the Code you research the Descendant for 8-32 hours. It's way less complicated than it sounds and I had every character at the time (except Keelan because he's boring to farm and black) without spending a single cent on the game

I unironically uninstalled. The plains are just completely empty. Just like I uninstalled warframe because it had gotten stale and had no real content. At least they have hot girls I'll give them that but if each season is just adding one new thing to farm I'd rather not bother especially since S3 was supposed to be make or break.

Warframe was enjoyable for a year at most when you were a new player and that was it, Steve kept going in 20 different directions all the time, always half baked, never properly tying them together then abandonning the things they spent a lot of dev time on.
Don't get me wrong TFD is garbage too but warframe was never good.

How grindy is TFD compared to your average gacha game?

Even if the gameplay was good and it was an actually decent shooter, the guns look so fucking bad. They range from flat out ugly to stuff that looks like it belongs in another game entirely.
I don't know who's in charge of gun design for this but they needed to be replaced long before that crap even made it to release.

You can't compare. Gacha games have a limited amount of draws before you're forced to swipe to roll on characters. TFD you can farm forever and get everything other than cosmetics for free. You farm for parts of weapons/descendants and each part has a %drop rate from the different sources where it can drop. It also has a soft pity system if you keep not getting the part.
I'm done with TFD because I got bored but people have been saying it's a gacha in every thread since the game came out and it's not, it's literally warframe with hot girls.
Fucking retards these days everytime something doesn't have 100% drop chance they call it a gacha.

You can literally get a character you want in like 6-8 hours of farming. The problem though is the research times. You have to wait 2 days for it to finish. Still beats farming an entire month worth of currencies and lose the 50/50 at the gacha.

Sigma Sector and Axion is literally that though. In fact look at steam forums and it's people complaining that the mobs are too hard to kill because it requires absolute end game builds to even compete there.

Why is there no regular modern military or near future sci fi shooter with sexy chicks in revealing outfits? None of this cuhurazay bullshit. No light trails on attacks, explosions that could level a skyscraper but enemies just shrug off. No stupid movement abilities like sliding and dolphin diving. No screen shaking visual effects that drown everything in colorful particle effects. Just some bog standard and grounded ubisoft/tom clancy, third person shooter with tacticool visuals and gear. Why do i have to play modded Fallout 4 for the thousandth fucking time to get that fix? Looking at the Nexus and the insane number of exactly those mods there is a gigantic audience for that kind of game. It has to exist.

This shitty game keeps ripping off Warframe but implements the same gameplay in the most barebones and boring way possible.

If they had spent even one day of dev time on gameplay instead of paid cosmetics, the game might still be alive. It's dead as fuck. Lost 95% of the players in the first two weeks. It can't all be paid cosmetics. You need at least a bare minimum of gameplay to keep players coming back. They failed at the bare minimum.
