Always has been if you knew what to expect from CDPR and weren't playing on a lastgen console or some $300 toaster. The Witcher games were never these open-ended roleplaying experiences. You were always Geralt the Witcher, and you were always pretty constrained in how you could influence his behavior. There wasn't really any reason to believe a studio who had never done a game differently would suddenly deviate from that, or even be able to pull it off, regardless of that seething autist (might even just be a bot at this point) who seethes about that slide from an internal pitch promising very vague subjective things. If you go into it expecting a narrative driven, action oriented game with some lite RPG systems and dialog choices, you'll have a good time. If you go into it and start crying about why there aren't 20 hour campaigns for being a media or a rockerboy, you might be retarded.
