Other way around. Warcraft is so similar to Warhammer it's just changing some names around.
SC is clearly borrowing from 40K, but changes enough. Rather than a singular holy emperor, Confederate leadership and the rebels are led by corrupt individuals. Confederacy borrows a lot obviously from the American confederates, but there's a lot from Tsarist Russia as well, with the Mengsk playing the role of Lenin/Stalin hybrid.
Space Marines are disposable grunts rather than elites. The setting borrows from the Russian Empire and soviet Union in terms of society and unit comp, and they borrow a lot from the American confederacy. The Terran army is more or less just the USSR's field army. Disposable cheap brainwashed soldiers from the dregs of society, heavy amounts of artillery, tanks, minefields, and vultures act like BMPs. Zerg and Protoss armies in contrast are properly alien.
Protoss and zerg at the time were very unique. It's in fact the Tyrion that massive redesigned the race to mimic the Zerg, not the other way around.
Warhammer and Warcraft are too similar to Tolkein, D&D, and lack a proper identity. In fact, it's foolish that both D&D and Warhammer never tried RTS games as they're perfect settings for it.
