>Wait here or else you get sent back.
>This is supposed to pass for gameplay.
Is there a worse modern game design trope than fucking instant-fail stealth sections?

The 00s were obsessed with stealth for some reason. And games would get marked down by reviewers for "not having minigames"

They're in everything too no matter how different the genre.
>Spider-Man
>Yakuza
>GTA
Even fucking Gravity Rush. I still have PTSD from those sections.

underaged OP thinks shitty forced stealth sections are anything new

Putting them in everything is definitely a modern trend you retarded nigger. It's like walk-and-talk sections. Just because they were in other games didn't make them a trend. Now every single game has them. The newest Mafia game has them for fuck's sake.

>make Spider-Man game
>do your best to make people avoid playing as Spider-Man as much as possible
>double down on it in the sequel, to the point where you actually admit out loud you cut action sections for MJ gameplay and shit like the deaf graffiti girl
It amazes me how pants-on-head-retarded everyone who manages a piece of modern Spider-Man media is when it should be one of the easiest things not to fuck up. Goes for shows, movies and especially comics, not just the Insomniac games.

Either you're new to videogames or you're underaged, this has been a thing for years, the 2000s were notorious for this shit.

The funniest part is that the sections in 2 are even worse than in 1 because it's beyond unbelievable this woman is doing stuff like this with no consequence whatsoever, and she's given gear that massacres Symbiotes better than Peter or Miles can. Seriously, why aren't their web shooters shooting electric sonic webbing that instantly kills a Symbiote?

Girls don't game since it involves putting the ego at risk.

I'd argue escort missions are way worse. At least with stealth missions you have full control over your character. With escort missions, you're at the mercy of the AI

Older stealth games like Thief and Deus Ex were genuinely fun. Even in the 360 era with Alpha Protocol, Dishonored, and Human Revolution, stealth was still fun

this webm is stupid but it makes me want to play the game because if this is the worst the game gets it can't be that bad

The story is mostly the disappointing part, the gameplay outside of the MJ sections is fine. Even then the last MJ section is an alright third-person shooter even if it makes no sense.
