I still think this game is fine in terms of pacing, it hits a decent middle ground. Too much mobility you've got cod and how shit that game is. Too little mobility and you have the likes of Squad which is just ball busting. Things are a bit fast in this battlefield but it's gotten much better

shotguns in all games have a sweet spot around 5-7 meters for fast drop off bullet damage. Anything within 5 should be one shot kill. This has always been counter active to the purpose of a real shotgun but for game play balance. As a side piece weapon it should shine more than handguns back take longer to aim when first brought out. That's how I have always considered the right balance for shotties. Also they have never done it properly but there should always be random recoil to be compensated for especially after 2 quick shots.

Sliding and diving are not supposed to be used going head on into the fight like cod, movement is not like that. I only use it as a resort of running away or getting into cover more efficiently. the biggest issue is how restrictive they are, not just size. they have very distinct, skinny lanes everywhere that makes the entire game about holding position on a tunnel and eventually pushing through it.
You'll probably notice the tanks being especially weird. They literally can't drive most places. They can't even make the fucking turns down streets without getting stuck half the time.

The old games let tanks do what they want. it's a fucking tank. the way they restricted movement was by making hotzones suicide by engineer. now it's 3 tank lanes with a spiderweb of infantry kill boxes connecting them.

Hopefully they add more old maps than new ones because what I've seen so far is just restrictive. That's the best word for it

After replaying the beta today, it's not as bad as I first thought. It has its moments but I think I'll wait until they release more maps and the game is on sale.
