All the time. Had one friend who had a huge open basement and we would set up a big table in the middle to put our PCs on. His family was really chill and let us stay over whenever we wanted. Used to spend literal days at a time just hanging out and playing vidya and watching tv.

I had a black friend I played maplestory with growing up, he was a bigger nerdier autist than I was so we got along well. Went through the entirety of middle and high school together. I'm in my childhood home town and was walking home today after visiting my parents, I was passing by places that I knew inside and out when I was 10 and some of them still looked the same but it felt so lifeless compared to back then.
It's like it's been so long that you have lost that connection with your young self, the place is still there, unchanged but you are so far removed from the kid that was connected to it that it doesn't mean anything anymore.
That kid had potential, every single member of his family since he was born was still alive, friends everywhere in the area, now you're just a relic looking at some buildings in an empty neighborhood.
