Crash Team Racing + The Karters /v/eekend
Let's race!

>Crash Team Racing (1999)
1) Get a Playstation BIOS file (Preferably SCPH-7501) and an original US CTR dump image from somewhere (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vbAs2itnOWirBSMufclOlfvWf_yAhaMr/)
2) Download Launcher from https://www.online-ctr.com/ and follow instructions
3) Configure your controls (or click automatic mapping when it prompts you)
4) Pick a server and room (or make a private one using your IP)
5) Share the info and wait for anons to join
As simple as that!

>Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled (NO CROSSPLAY)
1) Go to online
2) Wait while it loads
3) Matchmaking mode should probably connect anons together considering the online is not very active anymore, but if that doesn't work, players will need to add each other as friends in their platform of choice in order to make a Private Lobby
4) Wait a lot while it loads
5!) VERY IMPORTANT, since the game loads slightly better in newer consoles (PS5, Switch 2, Xbox X) it's –allegedly– inadvisable to skip the intro cutscene as it'll desync with other players and softlock the race lol

>The Karters
>Go online, choose a server region
>Choose "Make Room"
>There should be a code on the main screen, share that including the region in which you are hosting
>That's it
>Custom tracks should be automatically downloaded as they are picked, but characters and karts won't, so in order to see other player's mods you'll need to subscribe to them on the workshop yourself

Will be playing some CTROnline on US servers, Items 6 room in the meantime.

I'm also up for playing Nitro Fueled on Switch and The Karters 2 on PC.

You could probably beat her, careful with the spin move though.

People are porting over other PS1 racer tracks to CTR, effectively meaning you can remake the entire games.

Some games of course had really shitty or bland tracks, but Speed Freaks is really good and the graphical style matches CTR. Good looking maps, fun tracks.

I think you could remake shit like MK64 and such in CTR. The thing is that CTR is super god damn fast since you can build speed constantly, meaning it's faster than a LOT of racers from that era.

Feels pretty complete so far, though mods must help with that. The driving is great however, really loving it.

Why do people do the unintended shortcuts when playing online?
Yes well done, you skipped half the track, now you will have to sit down and wait for everybody else that actually wants to race.

Looking for people who can contribute their time and effort in to CTR'99's continued development for the following areas:
>Audio - voice banks, track music, etc.
>Art - concept art; characters, tracks, etc.
>3D - modelling + texturing of characters and tracks
>Code (advanced users only) - working alongside others to research game code and being able to rewrite functions to match parity with the original game on the PS1, development of new functions to provide additional gameplay options.
If you don't wish to directly join efforts; genuine suggestions/feedback will be noted and looked in to.

More a spectator at this point due to burnout but have been brainstorming. Changed the hats I wear, so now I oversee the websites and community alongside rob and a few others.
