Enemies aren't bosses, bosses are the main appeal. And in the case of one (the very first game, made on the bones of proto-RE4, padding itself out), you had different arena's and essentially different patterns when you re-encountered a boss. You can skip Phantom, Nelo gets harder, Griffon's locations get weirder.
You literally fight the same bosses in 4, in the same places, visually and physically, with boss rush. They're good bosses, but if I'm playing DMC's over and over, those three times, compared to 3's 2 times, or how short 1's overall content is, AGAIN is night and day.
I get it, 4 is fun, but you have to be a complete coping faggot to ignoring its pacing issues.
