I'm literally replaying RDR for the first time since it came out right now.
Rose tinted glasses and all, it hasn't aged very well.

I honestly never played RDR2 which I will play next so I hope it's better. The gameplay in RDR is so repetitive and stale, and the world is a lot less interesting than I remembered. Story is pretty uninteresting for the most part too. Every single mission in RDR is ride / sit shotgun in a carriage and shoot repetitive groups of enemies over and over again, there's hardly any variety, no stealth system, nothing, it's so barebones and basic. Honestly most of the games of its generation are so simplistic and easy too RDR not being an exception.
