while mouse is technically more accurate and will get the first hit most of the time, console players have more consistent accuracy overall because of aim assist.. meaning once you (a mouse and keyboard player) get the drop on them they will turn around and lock onto you and kill you first, unless you're also consistent and get nearly every shot on target, which requires manual aiming on your part

lower TTK means mouse players can keep up because it requires less aiming time to kill a target... 9/10 times if you get a drop on a player in bf6 you will win, despite being mouse or controller

It's not a VR game where you're actually aiming with a gun and an argument could be made that better controls ruin the spirit. Neither input is realistic. And even in that case, they wouldn't just give the gun player an aimbot because part of the fun would be making due. M/KB is just raw 1:1 input while a controller has the game aim for the player. Having the game itself do stuff for you, particularly to the point where you see pro players in games like Apex switching to the input method with less raw control because the artificial advantages are so absurd, while everybody else has to do it entirely by hand is cheating. There is no argument otherwise, only cope. No impartial person trying to have a sincere conversation would ever say it's anything but cheating if you laid the facts before them.

Well i agree you can't get into a VR style where more physical movement is required including using the head to move and the controllers also in that VR space so the crosshair is also independently moving. But you certainly could make the crosshair not be in the center and have to be controlled separately - even if it is just by a small amount, so as you move the crosshair is going to moving also and you then have to bring that back onto the target. For sure aim assist for controllers is far too strong is a complete joke
