The reason he doesn't speak that much on cutscenes is that Kojima preferred to use facial and body expressions to transmit ideas and tell the story with the new technology used in modern vydia.

He speaks normally on the cassette tapes

One of the few games i delete my saved data just to have that clean new game.

The movement and gunplay feel very good indeed, I'd love to play games similar to it.
