How to fix UTY's pacifist ending:
Don't have any mention of suicide. Instead, monsters come to accept Clover as part of the underground. Then, Flowey kills a monster and frames Clover, causing them to turn on him. Rather than fight and hurt them, Clover surrenders and agrees to give them his soul.
It makes sense, it ties in Flowey, and it ties together the motif of justice in an ironic twist.

That depends on what kind of sprite you're making. For DR styled character sprites, that's mostly true. For UT styled battle sprites, mixels (and not adhering to a strict pixel grid in general) can be extremely useful. For the most part, none of the moving UT battle sprites (i.e, every battle sprite except for Toriel, Flowey, and Papyrus) adhere to the pixel grid entirely, as their different sections move around as individual sprites, like puppet animation. For that, not adhering to a pixel grid is extremely useful.

I know this sounds strange but after playing Undertale Yellow, and seeing the discussion about making prequel fangames taking place before Undertale Yellow, It all feels kind of....Pointless? From a storytelling perspective that is.
Mostly because they would all have the same the same endings/concepts that Undertale Yellow did: You die in the Underground in order for the story to follow the "canon" timeline via neutral/pacifist routes or you deviate from the "canon" timeline through the genocide route. And at that point, the game is just Undertale Yellow but with different monsters and battle mechanics.
Or maybe I'm just overthinking things, because after all it is a noncanon fangame.

That was an idea I had for a cyan fangame. Happens not too long after Chara and Asriel die, so society isn't as developed and monsters are more actively hostile due to a stronger anti-human sentiment.
I was thinking it could be cool to have something of a Cold War aesthetic to show just how far back in the timeline the game takes place, as well as to allude to the rivalry between two political powers involving limited direct combat. Though considering Chara is stated to have fallen in the 2010s, that nips the idea in the bud lest creative liberties are taken.

Purple is perseverance, yeah? Maybe something like a boss rush or checkpoint heavy "kaizo" styled game. Or maybe the idea of perseverance could be represented through non-combative roles, so in a VN or point-and-click adventure where you're working toward a goal (eg. get out of the Underground) and still constantly need to savescum with your determination powers to attain it.

I'm inclined to agree, though I don't really think any of the monsters in UTY deserved to be punished by death. Ceroba is the only one with a strong argument for, and perhaps Starlo or Axis but they're more of a stretch.
Speaking of killing Ceroba, you might find it interesting that you weren't even able to spare her in earlier drafts of the story where she was considerably more selfish and evil.

Could it be that most people's lives are so unfulfilling and mediocre that they'd rather live a life free of hardship altogether, but also ultimately hollow and meaningless? Ceroba is a strong, caring figure, and I've seen plenty of interpretations depicting her as the dominant party in a romantic relationship, with Chujin or otherwise. I see no reason why she can't fit this role just fine.
